Atlantic Charter

The Atlantic Charter was a policy issued in 1941. It was made by Britain and the United States of America . It stated the goals of the war. The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) is similar to the Atlantic Charter because the GATT was made afterward and took some of the same ideas . I think that the most important principle is the no territorial gain as result of World War II because if they hadn't agreed to that upfront , we might have another war on our hands. "They believe that all of the nations of the world be guided in spirit to the abandonment of the use of force " is the most important sentence in the Atlantic Charter in my opinion. It made the war alot less violent than it could have been. Without the Atlantic charter , I honestly have no clue where we would be today and I would be afraid to find out .
